Carer’s admission
Disabled visitors pay our usual rate of admission, which can be found on our Admission Prices page.
A 1:1 registered carer accompanying a paying disabled visitor, with proof of carer status, is admitted free of charge. If any additional carers are required please purchase a Concession ticket for them.
Proof of carer status: Access card displaying a +1, Carer’s Allowance Letter, a letter from GP or Consultant (dated within the last 12 months) confirming the need for a full time carer.
Visitors with an access card without a +1 are not entitled to a free carer.
Wheelchair-users are entitled to a free carer ticket to support their visit around the aquarium where they may need additional support with the steadily inclining ramps through the aquarium.
Further information on the layout of the building.
Assistance Dogs
We welcome trained assistance dogs to support the visitor they are with, wearing a working vest, and an ID card.
Unfortunately our policy does not allow untrained dogs or dogs-in-training into the aquarium – as an animal attraction we require all assistance dogs to be fully trained.
Bristol Aquarium – Even Calmer Days

Our dedicated Even Calmer days create a more relaxing sensory experience for any customers who may need it. We will be turning off our music, and children’s rides to reduce any unexpected noises. We also increase our lighting in some of our darker areas throughout the day to create a more consistent sensory experience throughout the aquarium.
